Vietnam 🇻🇳 boxers Thai Hoang Huy and Tran Tan Quang Dao have only just arrived in Australia, and are already meeting the locals.
Huy, Nguyen Hai Dang and Adones Cabalquinto will be competing at the NO WAY OUT event tomorrow night at the Q Room in Melbourne.
The promotion comes courtesy of one of the country's biggest supporters of professional boxing Peter Maniatis Events.
The weigh-in will be held later today.
Things about to get serious in Vũng Tàu tonight when boxers from 10 countries descend upon the shores of The Grand Ho Tram.
Vietnam will be represented Thai Hoang Huy and the legendary Tran Van Thao at the big show which will feature the WBO Global Title fight as it's main event.
Tran Van Thao and Thai Hoang Huy will fly the Vietnam flag at this Saturday night's big international show at The Grand Ho Tram Resort and Casino.
The "Trigger" Thao resumes from more than a year out of the ring, and takes on gritty Mexican Kenbun Torres (12-4)
Thai Hoang Huy only debuted in early 2023, and has already amassed 4 wins, but has a big task against a hot opponent from Botswana. He meets Moabi "the Eagle" Ngaka - a two time junior gold medal winner at amateur before turning pro, and now a WBF title holder in Africa.
The international event is headlined by a WBO title match, and will be supervised by Vietnam Boxing Organization.
The action takes place in Vũng Tàu from 6pm this Saturday November 18th.

This time last year Muay Thai fighter Thai Hoang Huy was looking to make his boxing debut.
And what a debut !
The fighter dubbed "Naksu" (which means WARRIOR in Muay Thai) fought an exhibition with Philippines famed KILLER JonJon Estrada - a boxer with 16 wins and ouch ! - 14 Knockouts.
That exhibition bout inspired Thai Hoang Huy to turn professional - and the Ho Chi Minh City boxer now owns the impressive record of 4 wins and one split decision loss in his five bouts to date.
Certainly not one to walk away from a challenge, Naksu now has some huge news breaking !
Thai Hoang Huy will represent Vietnam at an international event at The Grand Ho Tram Resort and Casino on November 18th on a top class card assembled by Cocky Buffalo Promotions.
Huy will take on Botswana hotshot Moabi Ngaka, in what will be a prelude for the African boxer's title fight in late December.
Ngaka was a superb amateur that has transitioned impressively to the pro format, and is now regarded as his country’s best fighter.
And Ngaka will take his own place in history, as this will be the first time we get to see an African boxer perform in Vietnam.
Thai Hoang Huy has been one of the consistent improvers at VSP PRO this year, and we wish him lots of luck in this monumental yet exciting challenge that lay ahead.
Improving novice Thai Hoàng Huy went on the attack in round two, after trailing 10-8 in the early scorecards.
Huy was unfortunate in round one, after appearing to slip just prior to receiving a glancing blow, and was deducted two points for the knockdown.
But the former muay thai fighter quickly made up for it, landing a peach of an uppercut on Tran Ngọc Phuong Hieu to end the battle in stunning fashion.
Despite his inexperience as a boxer, Thai Hoang Huy has improved markedly since he debuted, and moves to 4-1 as a professional.

Thai Hoang Huy has proved one of the most popular prospects on the circuit this year, and will be aiming for his 4th win as a professional at this month's show.
Huy will take on Omega Boxing’s talltimber Tran Ngọc Phuong Hieu, who is on debut but extremely confident of a first up victory at the iconic VSP Gym.

HCMC boxer Thai Hoang Huy returns for VSP PRO next Saturday May 27th, and is promising to show improvements to his game, but still deliver plenty of thrills along the way.
The 57kg former muay thai fighter will jump to 63.5kg for his upcoming bout, but is happy to do so in order to gain more ring time.
"Nak Su" (Warrior) won by stoppage on debut, before a narrow split decision loss in March, and is under no illusions about his task in boxing.

Boss Alejandro Belonguel watches two of his prize students in sparring today at VSP.
Doan Hieu and Mark John Yap were impressive winners on Saturday at VSP PRO, yet found the energy to get back in the ring today for some friendly rounds.
The Philippines visitor Yap heads home tomorrow night, but will return to Vietnam on July 15th for a big pro event in Ho Tram.
HCMC boxer HIỆP, better known as "BABY KONG " scored his debut win at VSP PRO 4 on Saturday night. It was his best performance so far, showing an improved work rate, and selecting a variety of shots on the inside that really impressed the crowd. Hiệp was especially successful with the uppercut, and he kept changing angle to keep his very strong opponent guessing.
Great fight, and looking forward to seeing more of Lê Hoàng Hiệp, and his rival Nguyễn Huỳnh Phúc Tiến, in future VSP PRO events.
Mindanao's Mark John Yap wound back the clock in Ho Chi Minh City tonight, with a brutal display over national team prospect Nguyễn Hà Minh.
Yap was returning from a couple of months break from the sport, celebrating the birth of his first daughter Yuri early this year. It was noted at the weigh-in for the Lightweight 61kg clash, that Yap looked a little soft next to his taller and ripped Vietnam opponent.
The Journey Man was given a warm reception by the crowd, who were divided as to how a pro veteran would match up with the slick Vietnam boxer in a highly paced 4 round format.
Nguyễn Hà Minh is only 20 years of age, but is a highly touted member of the Vietnam team,
He is tall, and boxes with beautiful range, has fast hands, and he seamlessly angles between stances to land counters with ridiculous ease.
The first two rounds were arguably won by the local star. The Philippines Yap pressed constantly, but his timing and distance were a little off, and Minh often punished his enterprise with counters.
Despite being outlanded, Yap was undeterred, and always looked significantly dangerous.
Cracks started to appear in the armour of the Vietnam star in the third, as Yap began to find his range, and the momentum shifted noticeably. The Journey Man was walking through Minh's efforts with impunity, and was really chopping his rival to the body. Yap was relentless, and went "old school" brutal in the final round, where he dropped his Vietnam opponent with sadistic attacks to the torso. Nguyễn Hà Minh stoicism saw him meet the final bell, yet had it been a longer bout, the stoppage was perilously near.
Mark John Yap was simply devastating tonight, and produced such a dominant performance on foreign soil, that he was hailed as the winner by unanimous decision.
It was a credible showing by hot national team member Nguyễn Hà Minh, and he acknowledged that Yap's strength and experience overwhelmed him in the home stretch. He will benefit a lot from his encounter with a hardened professional.
But the big news is - YAP IS BACK !
The evergreen killer from Cagayan de Oro will return to the ring in a big, soon to be announced fight, this coming July.
Pablito Canada and JonJon Estrada make great fights, and Saturday's was no different.
Minus the little kerfuffle near the end, where both boys were getting frustrated, and it was a really good contest with plenty of to and fro.
JonJon Estrada is known for his power, and although he showed more patience than usual in the longer duration 10 round bout, he still found time for some signature Wolverine moves.

Le Hoàng Hiệp has been compared to a mini Mike Tyson, and has vowed to put on a dominant display at VSP PRO.
But things might not go so smoothly for the former Russian mob member, as his opponent Nguyễn Huỳnh Phúc Tiến looked in crazy shape at today's face off. This rangy HCMC boxer has been earmarked as one of the big impovers in the local ranks.

HCMC boxer Thai Hoang Huy returns for VSP PRO next Saturday May 27th, and is promising to show improvements to his game, but still deliver plenty of thrills along the way.
The 57kg former muay thai fighter will jump to 63.5kg for his upcoming bout, but is happy to do so in order to gain more ring time.
"Nak Su" (Warrior) won by stoppage on debut, before a narrow split decision loss in March, and is under no illusions about his task in boxing.
"I love it, but I know I have a lot to learn.
It is very exciting for me to compete, and I have many idols that I study. I hope I can be be near their level some day.

Iloilo native Arnel Baconaje put on an exemplary boxing display to secure the Philippines super featherweight belt just moments ago.
Baconaje dominated early, but was part on alert by a dangerous and resurgent Jhon Gemino in rounds 4-6. Gemino showed good head movement and landed some quality shots, but Baconaje remained composed.
Arnel Baconaje controlled the action well in the second half, relentlessly jabbing, shoulder rolling defense, and answering Gemino with straight rights and uppercut.
The fitness and resilience of both boxers was excellent, but in the end, it was the well executed game plan of perfect distance and timed counters that proved the deciding factor for the judges.

Là võ sĩ đầu tiên của đội tuyển Boxing Việt Nam ra sân thi đấu trong ngày 8/5, Nguyễn Linh Phụng đã "giải hạn" bằng chiến thắng nhanh chóng ngay hiệp đầu tiên.
Phải chạm trán võ sĩ chủ nhà cùng tiếng cổ vũ náo nhiệt từ hàng trăm người có mặt tại nhà thi đấu, nhưng Linh Phụng không hề bị khớp về mặt tâm lý. Anh nhanh chóng tràn lên tấn công, dồn đối thủ vào thế bí.
Sau vài giây đầu thăm dò, Linh Phụng mất chưa đến 1 phút để khiến đối thủ bị choáng, phải đếm ngay hiệp 1. Phút tiếp theo là những màn tấn công nhanh như gió của võ sĩ 10X.
Thế công của Linh Phụng khiến trọng tài sớm quyết định dừng trận đấu sau khi đếm lần 2 và 3. Với chiến thắng của Linh Phụng, Boxing Việt Nam như cởi bỏ được áp lực để hướng đến những trận tiếp theo.

Already there has been three cracking fights (we have recently been advised) between The Wolverine JonJon Estrada and Pablito Canada, so good in fact that they will meet again to settle the score.
The first two were atomic bombs, where Canada went all out and looked certain to KO Estrada, only to have the tables turned and end up on the canvas.
The most recent instalment was a strategic yet brutal battle, with the Wolverine punching himself to a standstill and earning a narrow points victory over a physically imposing Canada.

Võ sỹ Olympic Nguyễn Văn Đương vừa bị trọng tài xử thua tại hiệp 3 trận đấu hạng 57 kg môn boxing SEA Games 32 và đội tuyển boxing Việt Nam đã phản ứng gay gắt với quyết định này.
Hiệp 1 chứng kiến sự máu lửa của Bautista khi anh liên tục dồn ép Văn Đương vào ring đài và tấn công đa dạng từ đấm móc sườn cho đến những đòn tầm cao. Trong khi đó Văn Đương đáp trả bằng những đòn đấm móc phải tay khá tốt.
Ở hiệp đấu kế tiếp hai võ sỹ tích cực tấn công nhiều hơn. Văn Đương chủ động ra đòn tầm xa nhằm hạn chế đối thủ áp sát tung đấm cực nặng. Còn Bautista có những đòn jab, đấm móc trúng đích khá tốt.
Kịch tính được đẩy lên ở hiệp đấu cuối khi ngay đầu hiệp trọng tài cho dừng trận đấu để bác sỹ kiểm tra "chấn thương vùng mi mắt trái" của Văn Đương. Sau đó trận đấu tiếp diễn, nhưng chỉ hơn 1 phút sau trọng tài lại yêu cầu bác sỹ kiểm tra vết thương của Văn Đương.
Lần này, bác sỹ ra dấu "VĐV không thể tiếp tục" và trọng tài cho dừng trận đấu, tuyên thắng knock-out kỹ thuật (RSC) cho tay đấm Philippines, trước sự ngỡ ngàng của Văn Đương và BHL đội tuyển boxing Việt Nam.
Tại thời điểm này, theo tìm hiểu của Webthethao, bảng điểm chung cuộc cho thấy Văn Đương đang tạm dẫn. Và nếu diễn biến vẫn giống như 2 hiệp đầu thì chiến thắng gần như chắc chắn sẽ thuộc về tay đấm của Việt Nam.
Nhưng rốt cuộc tuyên bố từ trọng tài không thể đảo chiều. Ngay trên đài, BHL ĐT boxing Việt Nam đã tỏ rõ sự thất vọng và phản ánh với trọng tài cũng như bộ phận y tế rằng "vết thương ở mí mắt của Văn Đương không hề nguy hiểm và cũng không ảnh hưởng gì tới võ sỹ này cũng như trận đấu".
Sự bức xúc tiếp tục diễn ra sau khi trận đấu kết thúc khi ĐT boxing Việt Nam tiếp phản ứng với tổ y tế, giám sát, BTC, khi đưa Nguyễn Văn Đương lại chứng minh tay đấm này "không bị chấn thương nghiêm trọng đến mức phải dừng trận đấu". Tuy nhiên, sự vụ không được giải quyết rốt ráo.
