Richard "the Beast" Pumicpic looks to ramp things up this coming March, after a quiet but successful 2021. Pumicpic stopped excellent local fighter Landy Cris Leon in May, and Leon subsequently had a win over Jhunriel Ramonal, consolidating the merit of the victory. The Beast then travelled to the United States, and incurred a narrow loss at the hands of world top 20 Abraham Nova. Pumicpic had the hotshot Nova wobbled at various stages of the match, and no doubt this was a bout within the pinoy's grasp had it been taken on greater notice.
Richard Pumicpic is one of the best credentialed, blue riband fighters in the Philippines. He is capable of giving any fighter in the world a nightmare fight, so it is a great privilege to see him compete on home soil again. Richard the BEAST Pumicpic returns revamped in March 2022 and makes this simple pledge :
"YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET! "
Philippines veteran champion Richard Pumicpic was tagged with the moniker "The Beast" from earliest days :
"a kind of savage supernatural figure, but mostly he symbolizes the violence that potentially exists in the heart of every human."
And that is during the war. Afterwards, Pumicpic is all smiles.
The well traveled Richard Pumicpic will meet the outstanding and unbeaten Alfred Lamptey from Ghana this Saturday night in Dubai.
With 12 wins with 8 knockouts, Lamptey is regarded as a real prodigy in African boxing at only 21 years of age.
But does he have the necessary experience and ring guile to dominate a boxer like Pumicpic?
I seriously doubt it, and this hot prospect from Ghana will need to be on full bore once they let the Beast out of his cage this Saturday night.
If this isn't a quality team of killers, then I don't know what is !!
Hitting the hot sands of Dubai this Saturday are three of the Philippines most experienced and dangerous campaigners - Argie Toquero, Donnie Nietes and Richard Pumicpic (flanked by team manager Raoul Navarrete)
Toquero and Pumicpic have been on the sidelines of late, but look in outstanding shape, and each take on unbeaten foreign fighters.
Donnie Nietes appears as the main undercard, and will battle Muhammad Waseem (12-2).
The big fights this Saturday night will take place at Dubai Studio City.

Two of the Philippines best performed boxers prior to the pandemic were Argie Toquero and Richard Pumicpic.
But both of these former world ranked boxers have been devoid of opportunities in recent times, and finally, THE BOYS ARE BACK !
Toquero and Pumicpic are on the way to Dubai, fighting on a huge international card that also features pinoy champ Donnie Nietes.

VSP Promotions can report that despite the enormity of their tasks, Toquero and Pumicpic are in great shape, and are very good chance to cause big upsets in Dubai.
One of Papua New Guinea's best known fighters is headed to Manila, and has agreed to contest an exhibition bout in Paranaque on Saturday August 6th.
ANNIHILATION UKC will be preceded by a huge amateur show the day prior, and the PNG boxer will be looking for some valuable ring time to compensate for a year of inactivity. His opponent is not known yet, but will likely be a pinoy big name.
Richard Pumicpic, Jetro Pabustan, and the Wolverine JonJon Estrada are currently on the PNG banger's hit list!
Junior Raka is a former Arafura Games silver medallist, and has had 3 "official" professional bouts, winning 2 by Knockout. His loss was on points to the outstanding pinoy Roldan Aldea, in a WBA title match in early 2021.
The PNG Prodigy now has his sights set on challenging for that same belt against the freakish Charly Suarez, and his trip to the Philippines will be to remove ring rust, and to set sights on the King's Warrior as a potential future rival.
Junior Raka will head to the Philippines via HCMC Vietnam, where he will resume on Thursday July 28th. Raka takes pride of place as the main event at the show held at VSP BOXING GYM in HCMC.
Two of the very best and most experienced fighters in the Philippines will be featuring at Domination UKC tomorrow.
Richard Pumicpic resumes from a short lay off, after an accidental head clash forced his most recent foray to be deemed a "no contest ". The man known as "the Beast "has already notched up an incredible 22 wins, many of those against top class international boxers. Pumicpic, it's also accurate to say, is probably the Philippines most "robbed" fighter on the road!
Edison Berwela has been out of the ring since early 2020, so it's great to see this top performer finally back in action.
Berwela has an excellent record of 18 wins, and his recent defeats were all narrow points losses for international belts. The best of Edison Berwela will be seen perhaps now at featherweight, so both he and Pumicpic will be using tomorrow's lightweight 4 round clash as a stepping stone to their respective divisions.
Expect to see some really skillful work (albeit a little rusty!) from Richard Pumicpic and Edison Berwela in Paranaque City tomorrow. Both boys are main event fighters when at their peak, so it's fantastic to see them doing their thing tomorrow.
