The main event action at the Ultimate Knockout Challenge features freak talent Charly Suarez pitted against a lesser known, yet high quality performer, the very deadly Delmar Pellio. Pellio is an unconventional southpaw that probes with shots from various angles, and combined with his high workrate, has literally smothered his previous opponents out of the contest. His very unique ring template has seen the Manila based fighter go unbeaten in 9 fights as a pro. What is really impressive is that Pellio amassed these wins between 2017 to 2019, and in each fight, he has shown continual improvement in every facet. But Pellio loves a challenge! Not only is he taking on the best fighter in the Philippines in Suarez, he's doing it after a two year break! No small task! Delmar has been training hard in preparation for his assignment, and has chosen top quality sparring to have him at his peak. He has been working with some of the biggest names in Philippines boxing in recent weeks, and the consensus is, "Pellio is an outstanding boxer! He's awkward, and he doesn't let you catch your breath!"
The relentless punching machine that is Remon Basas returns this month, and matches up with rangy young southpaw Jestine Ace Tesoro.
The bout will signal a move to the heavier weight classes for Basas, but without doubt, Olivetti Gym will have him well prepared for the task. The 24 year old fighter is still very much on the improvement path, but has already racked up 6 wins, and has experienced good opponents like Delmar Pellio, Lorenz Ladrada and Franco Serafica.
The great thing that has characterized all his performances is that he always brings the heat! This kid is relentlessly working in the ring, and has a low looping style that sets up really effective body punches.
Jestine Ace Tesoro is a really promising type. He had good moments against JonJon Estrada, outgunned a very savvy Lorence Rosas, and then was narrowly beaten in Japan. But for Remon Basas, Tesoro is just another guy across the ring, and he will be bringing a bucket load of BAD BAD intentions to the party !

Philippines young gun Delmar Pellio will arrive in Vietnam tomorrow, two days in advance of Saturday's big boxing event to be held in Ho Tram in the south of Vietnam.
Pellio is set to lock horns with promising Vietnam fighter Dinh Hong Quan in a battle for the IBF Asia Lightweight title. And as the picture neatly shows, this pinoy warrior is primed for battle!
Delmar Pellio enters the contest with 9 wins and one loss.
Dinh Hong Quan owns a strong performance card of his own, winning 7 of his 8 bouts to date.
Delmar Pellio will rise to 135 pounds for his Vietnam assignment, and it will be interesting to see how well he adapts to a less frenetic but heavier punching weight class. Based on his size and fight style, expect the strong pinoy southpaw to really shine as a Lightweight !
That said, expect nothing less than a baptism of fire when pitted against a fiercely proud Vietnamese boxer, they are absolute killers!
Dinh Hong Quan is very much cut from that same cloth, and like Pellio, is a promising young boxer on the rise.
These two fighters have very similar levels of strength, skills and durability, so expect this fight to be non stop action and head to the judges scorecards.

Top lightweight prospect Delmar Pellio is ready to return to the ring on Saturday April 23 when he ventures to Vietnam. The match against Dinh Hong Quan (7 - 1)
will be held at the Ho Tram Casino, which sits directly in front of the beach, maybe 150km south of HCMC.
Pellio has shown huge potential in his career thus far, and despite being unbeaten in 9 fights, he struggled to get regular and meaningful opponents. He faced a considerable rise in grade last December when he faced the world class Charly Suarez, yet produced an outstanding and courageous effort that won the hearts of fans. The King's Warrior Suarez was quick to praise his young opponent, and enthused that he had a good future in the sport. Similarly, those that have sparred with the southpaw Pellio have found his workrate, timing, strength and boxing brain very hard to beat.
There is no doubt the bout with Suarez was a great learning curve for Delmar Pellio, and he will need all of that knowledge when he takes on Vietnam warrior Dinh Hong Quan.

Mickey Pengue was twice a World Team member at the big Victory8 shows, and Vietnam fighters commented that the style of Pengue was their favourite amongst the visiting team.Michael Pengue was part of a crack international squad that fought in Vietnam in late 2019, and included pinoys Charly Suarez, Jenel Lausa and Virgel Vitor.
Perhaps Vietnam’s best known female fighter, tam is a tall southpaw fighter with fast hands and feet. She is good in both attack and in counterpunching, and very skilled at drawing opponents in and landing her shots. Nguyen Thi Tam is an outstanding young prospect that still has lots of improvement, especially as a potential professional. There is no doubt that she can become a world class pro in the future.

John Lawrence Ordonio achieved a stoppage win over outstanding young talent Jules Victoriano at QUEST FOR GLORY. It was his first match back since 2020 for the man known as The Equalizer, and what he lacked in timing, he made up for with ring guile and power. It was a match that both fighters will derive plenty of improvement from, and word is strong that a rematch is looking a possibility. This was a great tussle between Ordonio and Victoriano - definitely worth seeing a "take two"!
