One last fight. One last chance at history.
And it's a girl from Batemans Bay who gets to spoil the party !
Most Valuable Promotions has confirmed that seven-division world champion Amanda Serrano (50-4-1, 32 KOs) will hang up the gloves after defending her WBA and WBO featherweight titles at home in Puerto Rico on January 9.
They're calling it "The Last Walk".
Serrano is sitting on 32 knockouts — level with Christy Martin for the all-time women's record. One more stoppage and the record is hers alone.
Tough luck for the script… because Australia's Skye Falzon (12-2, 7 KOs) didn't sign up to be a farewell present.
Falzon is the WBA's No. 4 contender at 126. She's held the WBC Asian, WBA Asian and WBA Oceania belts, and she runs her own gym back home in Batemans Bay. She knows a bit about this region — and a bit about hard work.
And she's no stranger to Vietnam. Falzon's third pro fight was at VSP PRO 1 in Ho Chi Minh City in July 2022, a four-round decision loss to Nguyen Thi Thanh Hao. She hasn't lost since.
And yes — 12 three-minute rounds, same as the men. Serrano wouldn't have it any other way.
Farewell party or the upset of the year ?
