Novice boxers and with plenty of upside suitably describe Marklin Itim and Clarence Breboneria, who are perfectly matched at tomorrow's REVOLUTION event.
Both fighters have two wins in the professional ranks, and both have aspirations to have big careers in the sport of boxing.
Marklin Itim clearly has the edge in experience, having competed really well in matches with top opponents like Lorenz Ladrada and Remon Basas.
Clarence Breboneria looked a little conservative in his first three fights, but definitely looked more relaxed in his impressive December stoppage win over Mike Siena. He is also well mentored by the team at Elorde.
This is a 6 round Super Bantamweight clash, and despite the likelihood of being a non stop action affair, expect this one to go to the judges.
This will be one of the most competitive fights of the day.
Enjoy every moment of it !

With near 100 professional fights between them, Leonardo Doronio and Mark John Yap qualify as the two most experienced performers at tomorrow's REVOLUTION event in Parañaque.
"Toto" Doronio has chalked up 18 wins, and was formerly a main sparring partner to boxing legend Manny Pacquiao. He was an impressive winner against Jimmy Borbon, before showing all his ring guile in dealing with a very offensive Arnel Baconaje.
Mark John Yap's deeds in Japan prior to the pandemic are legendary. It's accurate to say that he shredded some of that country's very best fighters in perhaps their strongest weight class.
His return to the Philippines with excellent showings against Charly Suarez and Junior Kauko Raka were ominous signs that foreshadow a big 2O23.
These boys are quality, and the 135 works in favour of Doronio. Don’t miss this tomorrow.

We got Canada v Estrada #2 coming tomorrow !
Their first clash was fight of the year, and it's on again, as Pablito Canada and JonJon Estrada made weight just moments ago.
These two killers go at it in a "no place for the faint hearted" featherweight war tomorrow in Parañaque City.
Both fighters approach tomorrow's clash brimming with confidence, having executed stoppage wins at their most recent appearances.
The Wolverine JonJon Estrada is especially adept in this department, and some would say an expert.
He has put opponents to the canvas in 14 of his 15 victories !! Ouch !!

Two of the most promising young boxers in the Philippines got a surprise visit from the King's Warrior Charly Suarez earlier today.
Jerald Into and Weljon Mindoro are both improving boxers on a steep learning curve, but have been outstanding in their ring performances so far. They also show all the attributes of excellent fundamentals provided by the hard working coaches at Quibors Boxing Gym.
Into is a tall southpaw lightweight, who is unbeaten in 7 fights. His most recent performance was a really impressive showing, stopping the experienced Monico Laurente in the 4th round.
Middleweight Weljon Mindoro has been nothing short of outstanding in his short career, also unbeaten, and scoring 10 knockouts in his 10 wins thus far. The youngster also has experience sparring with Olympic medallist Eumir Marcial, and it is pretty clear that "Triggerman" is running out of opposition at home.
It is hoped that both these top prospects will get an opportunity to show their wares in Vietnam in 2O23.
Charly Suarez will begin training soon as he has an important assignment in Australia on March 17th. The King's Warrior takes on Australia's best Paul Fleming, who with a record of 28 and 0, is no easy task !
Then again, beating Charly Suarez is no simple feat either !!

Anton Maglinte stars in one of the early bouts at Monday's REVOLUTION event in Parañaque.
The Manila based southpaw takes on debutant Raizen Jay Dela Fuente, a fighter with lots of amateur experience.
Maglinte comes into the contest with two fights under his belt, and despite those being defeats, it's notable that he did some good things against promising boxers Noriel De Chavez and Carlo Diaz.
Both of these bouts were highly competitive, and it will be interesting to see what improvements that "Pretty Boy" Maglinte can bring to his stoush with Dela Fuente.

*special thanks to Pareng B.Vlog for the awesome video and support toward Philippines boxers.

This has all the makings of a spectacular main event.
Ronnie "Jong Jong" Baldonado has been training like a demon in Manila, and is promising a torrid welcome for visiting Mindanao boxer - Sanman's Ben Mananquil.
Mananquil, who is reverently known as "The Nightmare" has looked great in two outings since the pandemic, with a 4th round stoppage win over Crison Omayao, before losing to unbeaten South African star Phumelele Cafu, who was rated #11 in the world. The Nightmare did some good work early in that match, but it's fair to say that he was stylistically unsuited to his fellow southpaw opponent, and he is likely to have the ideal dance partner in Baldonado.
But this kid Baldonado is excitement plus, a skilled boxer that really knows how to turn up the heat on opponents.
Jong Jong has got great hands, lots of firepower, and you just know he has a real talent for putting butts on the canvas.
Just think back to his clash with hot prospect Carl Jammes Martin, who had lots of issues with this firebrand, and met the floor in the early stages of their battle.
Ronnie Baldonado is back to his proper weight class for this main event clash, and if his blazing fists get their way, the Nightmare maybe heading the way of his heralded rival Ben Mananquil.

GREAT FIGHT.

Jonjon Estrada does fight week better than most.
He also does remorseless acts of violence pretty damn well too.
14 Knockouts in his 15 wins sends a frightening message as to how he likes to get the job done.
Blunt force trauma and maniacal bludgeoning !
This is the life of the Wolverine.

One of Australia's most colourful and entertaining fighters is also one of that country's BEST EVER.
Paul Fleming 28-0 will take on Philippines freak talent Charly Suarez in Sydney on March 17th.
The indigenous star known as SHOWTIME has got it all.

Claudevan Sese was a late inclusion for the upcoming REVOLUTION event at the expense of the injured Giovanni Escaner.
Sese already looks in demonic shape, and at 128lb, is only 6lb away from the super bantamweight limit of 122lb.
That's 6lb, and we are 6 days out. Easy work !

Former Olympian and still unbeaten pro boxer Charly Suarez faces a fellow undefeated opponent in Paul Fleming of Australia in what could be the toughest stumbling block to his world title dream.
The showdown between the two undefeated fighters will be held in Australia on March 17, with multiple super featherweight 130lb titles on the line, including the International Boxing Federation Intercontinental, World Boxing Association Oceania, World Boxing Council Asian Boxing Council and the International Boxing Organization Intercontinental belts.
“This will be the biggest fight in Australia this year,” said Robert Hill, Suarez’s promoter.
“Paul Fleming is Showtime, and he is facing the best boxer I have seen from the Philippines — point blank,” he added.
Suarez, who has 18 wins with 8 knockouts, is still fresh from his conquest of the International Boxing Federation Asia junior lightweight with a technical knockout win over Defry Palulu of Indonesia at the Grand Ho Tram Hotel in Vietnam last Dec. 10.
Two months earlier, the many-time Southeast Asian Games champion decisioned compatriot Carlo Magali to successfully defend the World Boxing Association Asia Super Featherweight title.
“Paghahandaan namin ito ng maayos. Magandang opportunity ‘pag nakuha namin ito” said Suarez’s coach and manager, Delfin Boholst.
Hill said Suarez was earlier being pitted against Japan’s top-rated Super Featherweight Yoshimutsu Kimura for the IBF Asia title, but the Japanese was knocked out in a non-title bout last week in Tokyo, hence, the focus was moved to Fleming.
Suarez’s exploits in the ring was also recognized by the Philippine Army, which promoted him to Private First Class for his achievements last year, including being named Boxer of the Month by the WBA Asia.
No less than Army Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., pinned the new rank on Suarez in a ceremony held at the Army headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on Jan. 13.
As an amateur, Suarez won three golds — two in lightweight (2011 Jakarta, 2019 Manila) and one in the featherweight (2009 Laos) — and one bronze (2017 Kuala Lumpur) at the Southeast Asian Games. He also competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where he dropped a split decision to the unbeaten IBF world champion Joe Cordina.
Paul Fleming of Australia is also a man of many accomplishments. The indigenous star is a former esteemed amateur and Olympian, and is undefeated in 28 professional fights.

Some guys have reason to be impatient - these Elorde boys say the hard work's already been done and they are ready to put on a show - NOW !
Well, hey, we still have a week to go !
Promising breathtaking performances at the REVOLUTION show in Parañaque are the pictured killers Ronnie Baldonado, Jetro Pabustan, Mark John Yap and Clarence Breboneria.
Patience is a virtue boys, bottle it for one more week !

Manila's Pablito Canada had a career record that included a run of losses, but all against the big dogs, and they were bouts where he was responsible for some great performances.
So when he faced JonJon Estrada, he knew he was facing a dangerous yet flawed fighter, and it was a match that he was super confident of winning.
Estrada v Canada was a slugfest, and in spite of Pablito reversing his fortunes and putting the Wolverine in trouble, he ultimately fell for the trap of going toe to toe with a knockout artist.
Canada was quick to make amends, travelling to the backyard of hot Mindanao prospect Michael Casama, and stopping the unbeaten boxer in the 8th round.
Pablito Canada now turns his eyes to the Wolverine, and feels he has unfinished business with the man with two fists of iron.
This will be a mega fight.
Both boxers are predicting an early night for their opponent.

JonJon Estrada meets Pablito Canada for the second time at UKC REVOLUTION 2O23 next Monday.
Their first fight was one of the most exciting of the year, with Canada dropped multiple times, and Estrada significantly wobbled. To make things even more interesting, Pablito Canada has rebounded since with an outstanding knockout win over the previously unbeaten Michael Casama. Canada has chased Estrada to avenge their initial meeting, and is confident of reversing the result.
The Wolverine has achieved cult like status because of his stalking predatory style, and his remorseless bludgeoning of opponents. His record of 14 knockouts in 15 wins bellows a cautionary tale.
So JonJon, any words to your opponent before your upcoming match ?
"Yes. Wear a crash helmet !"
Nice advice Mr. Estrada.

Nation’s pride in professional boxing, the unbeaten (14-0-0) Charly “King’s Warrior” Suarez paid a courtesy call on GAB Chairman Atty. Richard S. Clarin at Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Office in Makati City.
The PH Army boxer Suarez won his fight against Indonesian Defry Palulu last December 10, 2022 in Vietnam for the vacant IBF Asia Super Featherweight Title by a Technical Knock-Out in the 2nd Round of a 12-Round bout.
Suarez (IBF no. 8 ) is slated to fight against a tough opponent Australian champion Paul Fleming (IBF no. 13) who has a record of 28-0-1. The clash of both undefeated boxers will be held in Australia on March 17, 2023.
Chairman Clarin personally praised the multi-awarded Suarez for his unblemished record. Knowing that every boxer who fights abroad has individual specific issues, Chairman Clarin pointed out that, among other assistance, GAB, through the GAB Legal Division headed by Atty. Ermar Benitez, is more than willing to provide legal support especially with contract negotiations.
Suarez openly shared his experiences in professional boxing and very much appreciate the dedication of GAB in coming up with fair contract agreement for fights abroad, simplification of document processing, protection of boxers by fair matchmaking, and provision for other benefits to professional boxers.
Chairman Clarin concluded the meeting with words of encouragement to the boxing champ with assurance of full support to all Filipino boxers here and abroad.
