Mark Anthony Geraldo ranks as one of the Philippines’ most experienced and best performed fighters (38 wins), and has vowed that the winning run of the boxing prodigy Carl Jammes Martin comes to an abrupt end on December 4. Geraldo and Martin contest the RP Super bantamweight title, a bout that has been attempted to be made on more than one occasion. Champion “El Heneral” was forced to withdraw with a hand injury as recently as April this year, a setback which devastated the "star on the rise" Wonder Boy Carl Jammes Martin. For Geraldo, he viewed the situation as merely postponing the inevitable beat down he was destined to deliver the young gun. The December 4 match up for Geraldo will mark his second title defense since stunning Lorence Rosas of Palawan in the eight round of their contest in Mandaluyong last September 2019.
He captured the vacant Philippine super bantamweight belt with a sixth-round knockout win against Bohol-native Virgel Vitor in Tagbilaran City. Testament to the quality of Geraldo, both these defeated opponents are amongst the Philippines most promising, and in an ironic twist, will face each other in what will be a cracking undercard bout on the December card. The 30-year-old Geraldo, who hails from Bukidnon, was known for taking down Jerwin Ancajas, now the IBF super flyweight champion, back in 2012 to chalk up the latter’s lone loss of his career. Geraldo also traded punches with the likes of Nordine Oubaali of France, Takuma Inoue of Japan, and Mcjoe Arroyo of Puerto Rico – all world class opposition. The record of Carl James Martin is impossible to fault, but many fans are already singing the chorus to Geraldo’s tune that the Wonder Boy is biting off way more than he can chew.

Carl Jammes Martin closed the year with a gritty win over champion Mark Anthony Geraldo. It was a contest for the Philippines title, and regarded as the first significant step up for the Wonder Boy.
He passed the test with flying colours!!.
Geraldo applied non stop pressure throughout their epic match, and it was a mature performace by Martin to keep a cool head. Ultimately, it was the accuracy and crispness of the counter punch that swayed the judges in favour of Wonder Boy, and it proved to be a top quality title bout.
What's next for the boxing prodigy Carl Jammes Martin?
Stay tuned, but be ready for some big news coming this March 5th !

Perhaps Vietnam’s best known female fighter, tam is a tall southpaw fighter with fast hands and feet. She is good in both attack and in counterpunching, and very skilled at drawing opponents in and landing her shots. Nguyen Thi Tam is an outstanding young prospect that still has lots of improvement, especially as a potential professional. There is no doubt that she can become a world class pro in the future.

John Lawrence Ordonio achieved a stoppage win over outstanding young talent Jules Victoriano at QUEST FOR GLORY. It was his first match back since 2020 for the man known as The Equalizer, and what he lacked in timing, he made up for with ring guile and power. It was a match that both fighters will derive plenty of improvement from, and word is strong that a rematch is looking a possibility. This was a great tussle between Ordonio and Victoriano - definitely worth seeing a "take two"!
